National Commission on Lymphatic Diseases – April 2024 meeting

Description

The quarterly meeting of the National Commission on Lymphatic Diseases (NCLD) will be a hybrid gathering with the majority of the NCLD members (13 out of 15) attending in-person to share the work performed since the establishment of the NCLD in December, 2023.  The six committees created to work towards the charge of the NCLD will share their vision and goals, and a timeline of the planned activities. In addition, all the committees will identify the resources and stakeholders needed to complete the work expected.

The Director of the Office of Science Policy, Engagement, Education, and Communications, Dr. Lenora Johnson will present her perspective on stakeholder engagement strategies and the creation of a Request for Information (RFI) on lymphatics. The Director of the Lung Division at NHLBI, Dr. James Kiley, and Dr. Marishka Brown, Director of the National Center on Sleep Disorders Research at NHLBI will share a historical perspective of the establishment of the National Center on Sleep Disorders Research which was created by Congress as part of the NIH Revitalization Act of 1993 (42 USC Sec. 285b-7).

The meeting is open to the public via the NIH VideoCast and a recording will be available in that platform.
